'Friendly approachable attitude'
"Ron" was given to us by a friend of a friend after they had failed to look after this poor boys broken leg properly and it became apparent he was not considered "good enough" to breed from. We took him in and had him assessed by our vets who had no option by then but to amputate. This poor little boy was only 10 months old and had already had 3 homes and now had the trauma of a major op and the adjustments that this meant.
We got this lovely lad through his op and recuperation and quickly realised that having 3 legs made no difference to him at all!!
We have quite a large family and soon noticed that Ron got quite nervous and stressed around small children which led us to the conclusion that he needed a quieter home. With the circumstances of his arrival with us we were determind that we had to find him a forever home.
We found Joanne on the internet and fron the very first phone call I knew we had found someone who would have Rons best interest first and foremost.
Joanne was very knowledgeable about the breed and was a font of wisdom to us over the weeks that Ron remained with us. With her friendly approachable attitude she made the whole experience more of a positive than a negative.
Wihin a week of exchanging phone calls and emails with Joanne she had contacted us to let us know that she had found the forever home for Ron that we had hoped for.
Joanne even arranged for volunteers to collect Ron from my home in South Wales and drive him to the West Midlands to meet up with his new family who then took him home to Norfolk.
I was kept up to date with how he was settling in by Joanne. I also recieved a few calls from his new owner. It was obvious to us that we had made the right choice in trusting Joanne.
Throughout the rehoming process Joanne was fantastic. She kept us up to date with every detail and it was obvious from the calls I recieved after that Joanne was spot on with the new home and family she found for Ron.
I cant thank her enough for what she did. This poor pup had been passed from pillar to post until I contacted Joanne. Joanne did everything she could to see that this little lad had the home and the love he deserved.
Thank you Joanne,
Natalie Evans
'Compassion and understanding'
I had been waiting for my new pom to come for nearly a year with Joanne's Club and as soon Joanne took over rehoming I was very soon put in touch with a lady who found herself in a very sad situation of having to re-home her pom Peppa due to sadly having M.S. and was no longer able to cope. I soon collected Peppa and she is happy here with her new family and her terrier buddy. Joanne handled the whole situation with compassion and understanding yet remaining professional in such a difficult situation. I thank Joanne for her time and continued contact.

'Years of experience'
I cannot recommend the assistance of Mrs. Joanne Elvin highly enough. At the time I contacted her, my very distraught daughter had split from husband and had to move back home to myself with her Pomeranian male dogs, who were four and two years old.
They were family pets and very much loved.
Reaching the terrible decision that the two male Pomeranians needed to be separated, I contacted Mrs. Elvin, who had been recommended to me.( By The Pomeranian Club of Great Britain ) Her kindness and empathy to myself, understanding of the needs and requirements of this special breed, made a difficult decision so much easier to cope with.
She has many years of experience, knowledge of the Pomeranian breed and the requirements of a suitable new family for this type of dog, she was truly understanding and non judgemental of our situation, and showed nothing but kindness and respect to myself. I know that she checks every prospecive new home, to ensure it is ' just right' for each dog as an individual.
I drove four and a half hours each way, from the North of England to take our dogs to Mrs Elvin, but it was worth every mile , knowing that Joanne would find exactly the right family for our boys.
I hope that this is of help if you too, unfortunatley, for whatever reason, find yourself in the position where you have to find a new family for your Pomeranian.

'Now we are the best of friends'
My wife and I have had Pomeranians for most of our married life. Each one's personality and character completely different from the others. When we lost the most remarkable little fellow a few years ago we were both at a loss as to what to do. Joanne Elvin informed us she had a "rescue" available and asked if we might be interested in rehoming it. That little "Pom" had his left front leg amputated as a result of maltreatment by its previous owner. We decided to make him part of our family and he immediately bonded with my wife. I fell in love with him immediately, too. With me, however, bonding was slow to come. I'm sure he associated me and my actions with his previous owner and, as a result, I was bitten at least 50 times on the toes, ankles and calves. Having mellowed in my old age my love for him never diminished. Now we are the best of friends and we have one of the best training programs available. I do everything he tells me!

'Going that extra mile'
Joanne came to our aid during September last year, we approached Joanne asking if she could help us with Foxy an elderly Pomeranian which had come into our care but was struggling with the busy kennel environment and had developed a cough whenever he was excited or agitated, we had tried locating a foster home for him but with no success. Joanne was happy to help not only offering to take on Foxys future care but also offering us informed knowledge on the breed itself.
The trip down from Carlisle to Kings Lynn although a long one, went smoothly and without a hitch. On Arrival we were greeted by Joanne who made us very welcome and welcomed us into her home. Foxy was allowed to find his feet on his own terms, although a little unsure at first, found his place with Joanne and the many other little ones in her care.
Within minutes of arriving back in Carlisle we already had an update on how Foxy was doing. Joanne continued to give us regular updated pictures and stories throughout the time he was in her care going that extra mile to keep us up to date with his progress
We cannot thank Joanne enough for everything she has done for Foxy a special little man, who is fondly loved and remembered by many.

'Dedication to our furry friends'
'Joanne, and her husband, are wonderful, generous people who work tirelessly, going out at any hour at their own expense to rescue dogs across Britain who are suffering, ill and unwanted. No dog is turned away. When looking for a Pomeranian to rescue I was fortunate to find Joanne. She spent hours giving me a wealth of valuable information and general awareness of how to best find my new rescue dog and avoid the pitfalls. She also went out of her way to get me further information, names and numbers based on her extensive network and wealth of experience, even internationally. She is well known by the dog rescue and breeding community. I admire her dedication to our furry friends. Every donation is put to use in the most efficient manner possible to help as many dogs as possible. If there is an institution looking for a worthy cause to support where their donation will have the most impact, or someone to nominate for their dedication to improving conditions for dogs, there would be none more deserving.'
All the best,
Lana
