Our lucky Penny, quickly found her perfect forever home after coming into the rehoming process.

Seven year old Penny now lives in Norfolk with her new mummy Sheila and she's already a massive hit in the town, saying hello to all the locals on her daily walk to the newsagents.

As you can see she has settled into her new home with Sheila beautifully and is enjoying regular lunch dates with her cocker spaniel friend. 

Penny has also become a bit of a techno wizard since moving into her new home and regularly skypes, keeping everyone up to date on her antics! 

We're thrilled to see Penny settled into her new home and wish her and Sheila a long and happy life together!

Here at Pomeranians For Life we are committed to encouraging people to re-home a rescue dog, however we do understand that sometimes a rescue dog would not be the responsible choice for that individual. 

We receive dozens of calls from people who have unknowingly purchased through a 'Puppy Farmer' or 'Backstreet Breeder' believing them to have been reputable. 

These dogs generally grow into larger Spitz X's and/or are riddled with behavioural and health problems, with many ending up in rescue centres or the rehoming system.

Latest statistics show that One in Five puppies bought online or from pet shops require long-term veterinary care or die before they are 6 months old.

So how should you approach purchasing a Pomeranian? 

Follow these Do's and Dont's to help ensure you purchase from a responsible and reputable breeder.

We were proud to be featured in the latest issue of The Kennel Club's 'Breed Rescue Newsletter'. 

The article focused on the 'The Kennel Club Breed Rescue Stand' at Crufts 2013 and featured none other than Pomeranians For Life's pomeranian ambassador Willow!

Willow, seen pictured with Pam Hill from the Kennel Club Breed Rescue was one of the Pomeranians that attended the show. All the Pom's worked their socks off at the event, which saw nearly 149,500 visitors across the four days.

Thank you to The Kennel Club for your kind invitation and to all the volunteers and their Pomeranians who helped to promote the welfare of rescue Pomeranians at the event. We couldn't do it without you!

Urgent help is needed to support a posse of Pomeranian (X's?) removed from a house in Kent.

ALL 15 of the Pom X's removed were suffering with Parvo virus, along with two litters of puppies who were also suffering - all were close to death.

The vets bills to date for saving these desperate little guys is close to hitting £10,000 to date.

Several weeks ago Pomeranians For Life were contacted regarding a house with 19 Pomeranian X's all with Parvo virus.

Unfortunately we do not have the authority to remove dogs, so we reported it to the correct authorities. They have since been removed and relinquished to Pro Dogs Direct.

The Pomeranian (X's) have all been kept locked inside a house, never having received basic inoculations, worming, flea treatment, good food etc.

None of the dogs were castrated meaning regular litters of puppies were being born into this situation.

Volunteers at Pro Dogs Direct have been working tirelessly to save the lives of all of the dogs removed.

All of the Pomeranian X's removed required immediate medical treatment as well as hospitalisation. 

Both litters of puppies had to be removed from their mothers who were suffering from Parvo and have been hand reared by Pro Dogs Direct's volunteers.

The cost of saving the lives of these poor little souls has currently amounted to nearly £10,000. 

This figure does not include the continued cost of any further treatment, or the cost of further vaccinations, neutering and microchipping that will need to take place before these Pom X's leave for their new forever homes. 

Saving these dogs has used a vast amount of Pro Dogs Direct's resources and they are relying on your kind donations to be able to continue their work.

At the beginning of June little Solo ventured off to his new forever home and we're pleased to let you know its been a true success!

Solo now lives in Bridgnorth with his new owners Kathryn and Phil, pomeranian brothers Wookie and Solo and his favourite toy Mr Rabbit!

All of the boys go to work in Bridgnorth with their owners and they have a lovely time snoozing in the office or playing with clients who come to visit. 


Kathryn says, 'Solo has fitted in with his brothers really well and loves to play and chase Obi around all day. He's been really easy to train and is going to start obedience training after the summer - his best trick is dancing on his back legs!

'He gets on with all different types of dogs and nothing seems to phase him. He loves nothing more than going for a walk around Bridgnorth and meeting lots of new people, especially the ones who want to give him a snuggle!

'He's been a great addition to the family and we all love him very much.' says Kathryn.

Everyone here at Pomeranians For Life is thrilled that Solo has settled into his new home so well and look forward to hearing about all of his future  adventures.

Today we received the fantastic news that Nettie - who came into rescue with a severe liver condition, has been given the go ahead to have the dental treatment and spay she so desperately requires.

The consistent treatment that she has been receiving in the hands of founder Joanne, has seen her liver levels drop from over 8000, back down to a normal 0! Meaning we can go ahead with treatment that would have previously been too dangerous. 

A huge well done to both Joanne and Nettie, and we of course will keep you updated with her progress.

This past weekend both Bella and Solo travelled to their new forever homes.

We are pleased to inform you that both Bella and Solo are settling in well with their new families. Please watch out for further updates on their new lives.

On the 14th April 2013, we were invited to the Northern Pom Club Championship Show to be presented with a cheque from the clubs fundraising activities at Cruft's 2013.

At Cruft's the club raffled the picture and vase seen pictured and an 

incredible £278.00 was raised in the name of Pomeranians For Life.

But the Northern Pomeranian Clubs fundraising efforts did not stop there, at the Championship show the club held another raffle raising a total of £50.00 and a beautiful Pomeranian blanket was donated to be auctioned for us, fetching a staggering total of £100.00.

In total the Northern Pom Club raised an overwhelming £434.00 for Pomeranians For Life. We can not thank the club and its members enough for their kind and valued donations and their continued support.
